Pastor Stephen Sim and Joann

Pastor Stephen immigrated to Los Angeles, CA, with his family while he was in high school. He became a podiatrist after graduating from medical school and maintained a private medical practice for 15 years. Stephen’s wife, Joann, came to Kansas City, MO, after she finished university in South Korea. She received a Doctor of Music Arts in piano performance from USC and taught college students.
Then God called our family while we were both busy building our careers. Stephen became a pastor, and Joann became an intercessor. He served the churches in Los Angeles, South Korea, and Kona, supported by his wife. His family, including two daughters, also served as missionaries with Youth with A Mission in Hawaii.
Our main focus in ministry is to ignite the heart of worship. Through the rekindling of our first love for God, we pursue to know God and become disciples of Jesus. Thus, a deeper relationship with our Lord and the practice of God’s love toward others will be our goal in every aspect of our lives. Let’s accomplish this precious heavenly calling together!
